Crocheters! Join us each month on a Saturday to learn about the
world of crochet - see individual months for actual Saturday dates and weekly topics.
Whether you're a beginner looking to learn new stitches or an experienced crocheter
seeking inspiration, the Crochet Club is the perfect place to nurture your creativity. Each
month, Kim will guide you through a variety of topics, from basic techniques to
advanced patterns, ensuring there's something for everyone. Bring your enthusiasm,
your favorite yarn and hooks, and get ready to connect with fellow crochet enthusiasts
in a supportive and fun environment. Don't miss out on the chance to enhance your
skills, make new friends, and create beautiful projects!
The Crochet Club weekly topic will be followed by project help. Crochet club plus help will be 2 hours of instruction. Your $20 fee includes most patterns, potential hand-outs, and free help/assistance during the project help period (or just hang out and crochet with Kim).
Tentative Schedule:
August 22 2026, 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm: Embroidery on Crochet
This month’s Crochet Club will feature Embroidery on Crochet. Add beautiful stitched details to your crochet projects in this beginner-friendly workshop. Learn simple embroidery techniques for working on crocheted fabric, including how to choose yarn or thread, plan a design, and add decorative accents with confidence. Participants should bring a small crochet swatch or finished project to practice on; basic crochet experience
is required, but no embroidery experience is needed. We will be using the book “Embroidered Crochet: Enchanting Projects to Crochet and Embroider” by Anna Nikipirowicz for reference, available on Amazon and Amazon Kindle unlimited.
Supplies needed are small crochet swatch or finished project; small amounts of colorful
yarn or embroidery thread; large eye needles, and embroidery needles; scissors.
Saturday, September 19, 12:30 - 2:30 - Crochet Pumpkins
This month’s Crochet Club will feature cute, crocheted pumpkins, perfect for adding a handmade touch to your fall décor. Basic crochet knowledge is required, as participants should be comfortable holding a hook, working with yarn, and completing basic stitches. In this class, students will learn the crocheted rib stitch and use this technique to create a simple rectangle that will be transformed into a festive pumpkin. This project is a fun way to build crochet skills while making a seasonal decoration to display at home or give as a gift.*basic crochet skills required (chain, single crochet, half-double crochet)
Supplies needed to make 1 pumpkin are:
- Approximately 100+ yards worsted weight yarn in pumpkin colors (oranges, browns,
gold, etc.) - 4mm-G or 5.0-H Crochet hook
- Polyfill stuffing
- Decorations such as buttons, cinnamon sticks, etc.
- Other supplies needed are scissors, darning needle, and open-ended markers. Pattern
provided at class. - Kits may be provided, please check availability.
Saturday, October 17, 12:30 - 2:30
This month’s Crochet Club will feature Autumn Leaf Crochet Coasters. In this
crochet club session, students will make a charming leaf-shaped coaster perfect
for warm mugs, seasonal table décor, or handmade gifting. We’ll practice basic
stitches, simple shaping, and finishing techniques while using autumn-inspired
yarn colors. This quick, satisfying project is great for confident beginners and
experienced crocheters looking for a relaxing seasonal make.
Materials
• Approximately 100+ yards DK or worsted weight cotton yarn in Autumn colors (oranges,
browns, gold, etc.). Either solids or variegated colors work well
• 4mm-G or 5.0-H Crochet hook
• Other supplies needed are scissors, darning needle, and open-ended markers. Pattern
provided at class.
• Kits may be provided, please check availability.
